Wilson Reading

What is it?

 

An explicit and highly systematic word study program.

 

Research-based & focuses on phonological/ phonemic awareness, phonics and spelling program ideal for the general education classroom.

Wilson Reading is a comprehensive multisensory structured program designed for students who struggle with decoding and spelling.

 

Who needs it?

 

Grades K-2

Lowest 30th %

Diagnosed Language-Based Learning Disability

Grades 3-Adult

Students Decoding Below Grade Level

Diagnosed Language-Based Learning Disability

 

What support is needed to make it work?

 

Dedicated, protected, uninterrupted time for lesson implementation.

Schedule that will allow for instructional blocks:

Fundations

Daily Standard Lesson 30 mins 5 days/week

Double Dose Lesson 10-30 mins, 3-5 days/week

Wilson Reading

30-45 minutes 5x a week     or

90 minutes 2-3x a week
