I would like to take this opportunity to welcome students, parents and staff to G. W. Fowler High School. Students of all levels will have numerous opportunities this year to explore different careers through our Smaller Learning Communities (SLC or Academies). SLC is a learning initiative that enables students to form a close connection with teachers. Students will work closely with a select group of teachers, which allows students and teachers to get to know each other, and it creates an atmosphere more conducive to learning.
I encourage the entire Fowler community to participate in school events. During the past year, our programming for theatre, athletics and student activities all increased. Participation comes in many forms, but simply attending any one of the
numerous sports opportunities is a great way to participate and show school spirit. We are always looking for parents who may be interested in continuing our parent group -- please call the school if you are interested (315-435-4376)!
We have many exciting events planned this year, including the planning phases of our school’s renovation project. I am looking forward to a great school year with your students!
