Smaller Learning Communities (SLC) at Fowler High School

Fowler has been divided into three small learning communities, otherwise known as career academies. Each student chooses an academy based on their career interests and spends their years at Fowler learning from and getting to know the staff in that academy. Students are given a comprehensive course selection relevant to their career exploration interests. In addition to coursework, students are placed in internship programs, job shadow programs, and are involved in career chats with a variety of different professionals. The career chats and job shadow experiences allow students to be active participants in planning and deciding their futures. Fowler’s three academies and the coordinating staff are listed below. Please feel free to contact anyone with questions via email or at the school 315-435-4376.
