Ed Smith Students Make Fiber Artwork
Artwork created by fifth and eighth grade students who belong to art clubs in the Syracuse City School District was on display as part of the CNY Fiber Artists and Producers presentation in Bouckville.
The fifth grade students at Ed Smith School worked with felt and the eighth grade students knit squares and when the pieces were sewn together the fabric covered “yarn splashed’’ animals. The animal shapes were then displayed. Mary Anne Stanton of the CNY Fiber Artists and Producers said many of those attending the festival admired the students work.
