Martin Luther King Jr.  Unsung Hero Awards
Congratulations go out to long time employee, Donna Bradford for her selection as a recipient of Syracuse University's 2010 Martin Luther King Jr. Unsung Hero Awards.  Ms Bradford was one of four winners announced at the Martin Luther King Jr. celebration put on by Syracuse University. Ms. Bradford has been a teaching assistant for over 20 years and is currently working at Seymour Dual Language Academy.  Her commitment and dedication to the students in the City schools are just one of her many wonderful attributes.  She is best known as the founder of Parents Promoting Dance, which is an organization dedicated to the development of local dancers.  The organization specifically works with low income, inner city dance students.  Parents Promoting Dance has grown under her leadership so much so that it no longer is a part of the Onondaga Dance Institute but rather now is a studio itself.   After two years of tireless fundraising and collaboration with the Wacheva Cultural Arts they opened One Village Dance Center. Congratulations!
