The
people of Haiti are in dire need of relief
goods.
Please
join recovery efforts mobilizing around the
world to assist earthquake victims in Haiti. Syracuse City Schools are invited to collect blankets, clothing and shoes during the month of February 2010 to help bring relief to Haiti’s earthquake victims. Mohawk Global Logistics (MGL), a Syracuse based transportation company, will collect and transport all donated goods to their warehouse for consolidation into ocean containers or prepping for airfreight. They have made arrangements with ocean and air carriers to transport and deliver the goods to a distribution center in Haiti. If your school is interested in participating in this worthwhile cause, please send a representative from your building to one of the following informational sessions to learn more about coordinating a blanket and clothing drive with your school community. The informational meetings will provide details on planning, organizing and collecting items along with information regarding pick up of materials by MGL. Boxes for collecting, sorting and packing items will be provided by MGL.
